Burseraceae Kunth



Burseraceae is a family of 17-18 genera and about 540 species of flowering plants, also known as the Torchwood family or incense tree family. The family includes both trees and shrubs, and is native to tropical regions of Africa, Asia and the Americas. Some members of the family produce fragrant resins used as incense or perfume, most notably frankincense and myrrh.
